Our Story

New Heights ABA is an established Northeast Ohio therapy clinic that serves children diagnosed with autism living in Cuyahoga and surrounding counties. Sandi Lehr, the Managing Clinical Director, first opened our doors in the summer of 2018 by offering an ABA summer camp. She is passionate about providing high-quality services that fit the specific needs of clients and families, offering flexible schedules, and working with previously underserved populations in the Cleveland area. Since then, we’ve grown to two locations, supporting the east and west, expanded both locations during the COVID-19 pandemic to broaden our reach, added skilled BCaBA/BCBAs to our team, and grown our operations and administrative teams.

We’ve partnered with local school districts to implement ESY services, consulted with schools, and participated in several events in the community; such as sponsoring fundraisers and resource fairs with Connecting For Kids and table events through Northeast Ohio Parent Magazine. We also partner with A+ Solutions to incorporate a student’s IEP goals to supplement ABA programming.

We grew our partnerships with Sprout Therapy for Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology at New Heights. Starting in June 2023, we will implement music therapy with Beyond Words: Music and Dance Center to increase social-emotional growth and inspire creativity in our clients.

We are proud to be a part of the Northeast Ohio community, widen the scope of services, and disseminate ABA knowledge!

What is ABA?

ABA is the study and analysis of behavior and how the environment can influence behavior. Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) analyze a child’s environment and determine the factors that may be causing social, language, and behavior challenges.

BCBAs use a variety of research-based techniques to teach new skills and increase productivity while reducing behaviors that impede learning and development. These skills are implemented by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).

Can ABA help reduce the symptoms of autism?

ABA has been studied for decades. ABA can help all kinds of learners gain different skills (e.g. healthier lifestyles, functional language). Broadly, ABA can help with:
